Ahead of CES 2015 event which will start on January 6th in Las Vegas, Acer made a press release where they introduced a new mid-range smartphone named Liquid Z410 4G. The retail price will be €129 and it will be available at the end of February in EMEA. If you are interested to see the new Acer Liquid Z410, you should know that it will be displayed tomorrow, January 5th at Pepcom’s Digital Experience event which will take place at The Mirage in Las Vegas. In case you’ll miss the Pepcom’s Digital Experience event, Liquid Z410 4G will also be displayed in CES 2015 main event at the Acer stand.
Liquid Z410 4G is powered by a 64-bit quad core processors and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The graphic chip is a Mali-760 which will power a 4.5 inch IPS qHD display with 245 ppi definition display. Liquid’s Z410 rear camera stands a 5MP Autofocus snapper and LED Flash while the front facing camera is able to snap selfies on an 80 degrees wide angle images trough its 2MP camera.
There are several pre-installed modes for videos and pictures which users have to select before using the camera. Presentation mode allows you to convert pictures of a sheet of paper or a screen into .ppt, .jpg or .pdf files while Dual Shots will make a collage of simultaneous shots or videos from the front or rear camera for Picture in Picture and Video in Video. Probably one of the most useful modes is the voice commanded camera. The rear camera will take a picture if someone says ” Cheese” or if you are using the front facing camera, simply say “Selfie” and the camera will start a three second countdown before taking the picture.
Liquid Z410 4G is compatible with AcerEXTEND and Acer QuickMode for a better integration with your needs. One of the last feature presented by Acer is the DTS Studio Sound front facing speakers which are packed in the Liquid Z410 4G.
All these features won’t drain your battery so fast as Acer claims it will be able to last up to 5.5 hours in talk time and almost 400 hours in standby mode.
If you’re not willing to spend a lot of money on smartphones at the beginning of 2015, you could give it a try as the €129 price tag is decent for a smartphone which has a little bit of everything. We should mention that the availability at launch will include Europe, Africa and Middle East.
